Jump Spots in CS2: Movement on Real Maps

A jump spot opens a position the enemy isn't watching: while they clear the standard angles, an off-angle hands you the opening kill. One caveat up front — it's a low-priority skill, aim matters more. But 15 minutes on a workshop map with highlighted jump paths pays off in rounds won from a single unexpected angle.

What this drill is

Jumps onto default positions and boost spots on specific maps: the workshop map shows the jump trajectory right on the real geometry. Movement for real situations — off-angle peeks, unusual positions, escape routes — not abstract KZ courses.

How to train it

Map: the "map jumps" workshop map. Subscribe → "Play → Workshop Maps", pick the active-duty map you need — the map shows the trajectory of every jump.

Routine (15 min): 1. 3 min: walk through the highlighted jumps on your chosen map, study the trajectories. 2. 9 min: repeat each jump until 3 clean in a row — run-up timing, takeoff point, crouch-jump where needed. 3. 3 min: apply combat context — jump onto a position + immediately put your crosshair on the likely enemy.

Key idea: movement is a low-priority skill for improvement (aim/utility/gamesense matter more), but map-specific jumps pay off for real: surprise peeks, boost spots, angles out of corners. Train it a little at a time.

Common mistakes: learning a jump with no combat purpose; holding W in the air on long jumps; not using crouch-jump where it's needed.

Metric: the number of jumps you land consistently 3/3; the payoff — you take an unconventional position in a match without botching the jump.
