CS2 Utility Lineups: Learning Smokes and Flashes Map by Map
Learning twenty lineups in one evening is pointless — a week later you'll remember three. The working dose is 3-4 nades per 15-minute session on a Yprac map; any more won't stick. For solo queue, learn default smokes and self-flashes for taking space first — they work without a team. Inside DrillMaster, the plan picks the map for you.
How many minutes of this drill do you actually need? DrillMaster decides from your matches — and schedules it when it pays off most.

Learn the lineups (smokes/flashes/mollies) for one active-duty map. CS2 smokes are volumetric — CS:GO lineups often don't work, so only use current CS2 lineups.
How to train it
Tools (verified for CS2): • Yprac Hub in the Workshop — Utility mode, 1400+ lineups right in the client, all active-duty maps. • csnades.gg — video lineups strictly for CS2. Don't confuse it with csnades.app (that one mixes in CS:GO). • NadeKing / cs2tricks.com — step-by-step CS2 videos. ⚠️ CS2 smokes are volumetric — old CS:GO lineups often miss.
Practice setup (CS2 console): sv_cheats 1 sv_infinite_ammo 1 sv_grenade_trajectory_prac_pipreview 1 sv_showimpacts 1 mp_buy_anywhere 1; mp_buytime 9999; mp_maxmoney 60000; mp_startmoney 60000 bot_kick bind <key> noclip (fly over and check where the smoke landed — CS2 has no follow-grenade)
Routine (15 min): 1. 3 min review the old ones: throw 4-5 familiar lineups from memory, no hints. Note any that didn't land. 2. 2 min fix what's broken: re-check in Yprac Hub / csnades.gg and re-throw. 3. 7 min on 2-3 NEW lineups: reference → stance spot → throw type (left/right click, jump-throw) → throw it until it lands 3 times in a row. 4. 3 min to lock it in: throw the new ones from your real in-game position, no preview.
Common mistakes: learning CS:GO lineups (volumetric smoke breaks them); not nailing down the throw TYPE; cramming 10 lineups at once; throwing from a "comfy" spot instead of your real stance.
Metric: how many of the map's lineups you can throw from memory 3/3 times in a row from your real position.
