AWP Deathmatch in CS2: Sniper Training
Rifle DM won't build your AWP — the sniper has its own aim: the snap, the scope timing, and a mandatory step off the line after each shot. Fifteen minutes of AWP deathmatch a day sharpens your opening duels and your first-shot speed with the scope. The mode's golden rule: the AWP forgives a miss, but never forgives standing still.

AWP deathmatch: sniper duels on the move — scoped snap-flicks, fast target-to-target transfers, and stepping off the line after every shot. Builds aim and speed specifically with the AWP — rifle DM won't do it.
How to train it
Where to play: an AWP-only deathmatch server (Cybershoke AWP DM) or filter by "awp" in the community server browser.
Routine (15 min): 1. 3 min warm-up: relaxed snaps on static/distant targets, keep the crosshair on the head/upper-body line BEFORE the enemy appears. 2. 8 min on the move: after every shot immediately step off the line (re-position), then a fresh snap. The AWP doesn't forgive standing still. 3. 2 min quick-scope at close/mid range: scope → fire at full zoom, no early click (no-scope only point-blank). 4. 2 min cool-down: a clean snap matters more than pace.
Common mistakes: spamming LMB before full zoom (inaccuracy); standing on one spot after a shot; missing flicks from too high a sens for the AWP.
Metric: the AWP is about first-bullet and positioning. Aim to win the opening duel with a consistent snap, not to top-frag the DM.
