FFA Deathmatch in CS2: How to Train, Not Just Grind
FFA deathmatch pays off when the session has a goal: 'crosshair at head level before contact', 'shoot only after a full stop', or 'aggressive entry peeks' — pick one for the 20 minutes. The metrics are TTD and first-contact accuracy: DM without a goal barely moves them, and that exact link is what DrillMaster measures by correlating your training with your matches.
How many minutes of this drill do you actually need? DrillMaster decides from your matches — and schedules it when it pays off most.

Free-for-all deathmatch — a fast warm-up for your hands, reaction, and crosshair placement before matches. Chaotic duels force you to keep your crosshair ready at all times.
How to train it
Where to play: WarmupServer.net (pure FFA, free, !fps for an FPS boost), CS2Tracker.gg (free 128-tick EU/NA), Cybershoke (150+ DM servers), xplay.gg (shows the lobby's average FACEIT level), FACEIT Community DM (physics close to FACEIT matches — best for warming up before FACEIT). There's no ESEA DM in CS2.
Routine (20 min): 1. 4 min warm-up on your favorite gun (AK/M4): relaxed taps, no running around, crosshair at head level. 2. 8 min active block: keep moving, counter-strafe before each duel, crosshair pre-set at head level. Goal — win the first shot. 3. 5 min target switching: focus on re-aiming fast when enemies come from different sides. 4. 3 min finish on pistol/Deagle — reaction and accuracy.
Common mistakes: uncontrolled running and shooting on the move; crosshair off head level; "frag farming" instead of counter-strafing and pre-aim; only warming up on one gun.
Metric: FFA is a warm-up, not a rating. Aim to consistently win the first shot and feel your hand warmed up by the start of the match.
